Will 10" sub fit in the rear deck?

Will 10" sub fit in the rear deck?

I know 8" will fit but how well do 10"s fit?

You'll have to cut it, and the rear deck is too flimsy to support any decent sub.

What if I re-enforce the deck with MDF? Or the deck is that flimsy to support MDF with 10 or even 8's?

I would consider it a bad location for a sub in the first place, even if the deck was structurally sound enough to house one.

Yeah i think your right. It will be a lot easier to take out the 6x9 and leave them open. Then add a sub. I might just do that.

I agree, and you'd also have to have a 10 that was made for this sort of installation. Most standard subs are not, and would perform poorly in such a setup.

I found a few 8" sub/midbass that would work great in IB but I wanted to try if I could fit a 10" in there.

But I been thinking a lot about it would be a lot easier just to take out the 6x9 and just add a sub in a trunk.

I put an IB 8 in mine, and it did not do much, so I added a fiberglass box with a 15W6. that did the trick.

Do you have pics of the 15w6 box? I been looking at the 4080 enclosure, I want a box like that, so I save the most room.

I do have pics. I made it myself out of fiberglass and MDF. I don't know how to post pics on here yet, though.
