V35/G35 Nav screen issues

Hey guys, im new to the forums and am looking for some help.

Just got myself a 2005 350gt sedan, car is amazing but am having a few intermittent issues with the NAV screen at the moment, uses the same nav screen as the g35 i would assume.

This only happens sometimes but the problem is this, when the nav screen pops up it will pop up with a black screen then go back down after about 3 secs, it only does this sometimes. it seems to not work when the car is parked in the sun or is used when its darker.

Has anyone had the same problem before? if so what was the solution?

Cheers, Jason

The screen was working all day yesterday, didnt pop back down after 3 secs like it has been doing the past few days, but has just started not working again today.

I realise your g35's wont display japanese messages but maybe someone knows that these mean, when the screen does stay up it will sometimes displays these messages and will sometimes goes black/blank.

This is what the screen has been showing, anyone know what they mean? last pic looks like a symbol for a cd?

Looks like it's having trouble reading the DVD. Try cleaning the lens.

I dont think it has the DVD in the NAV slot, not from what i can tell anyway, will not having a DVD in there be causing the problems i am having?

Anywhere i can download the japanese nav cd from?
