rattling help
what typically rattles due to stereo and how do I fix it?
I have an 03 coupe with stock bose, and today I just finished wiring up my box with 2 10's. with just the stock bose system certain tones would give me a rattling noise, and a low rpm drone from my exhaust can give me some rattle as well. Now that I have some actual bass back there I'm looking to secure it. I haven't even driven it really to see how bad it is, just made sure the subs work. But I can't imagine that it's any better with subs
so if anyone's been through this in this car, your experience could benefit me greatly! thanks!

Rear deck is one of the worst culprits. Remove all the trim from it, fill it with minimal-expanding foam, and as you put everything back together, line all contact points with fleece tape (sounddeadenershowdown.com is a great source).
Interior door panels tend to rattle a bit too, so do the same with the fleece tape on them as well, or take it to the next level and attach closed-cell foam with spray adhesive to make sure the panels can't move against themselves where the different materials match up.
