Alpine System Suggestions
Alpine System Suggestions
I was going to order these today for my 04' coupe but i wanted some suggestions from you guys first...I'm going with these 3 items.
1. Zenclosure Box

2. Alpine Subwoofer SWX-1043D

Specs:
Power Handling:
Power Range: 500 - 1000 Watts
RMS Power Handling: 1000 Watts
Peak Power Handling: 3000 Watts
Frequency Response: 26Hz - 200Hz
3. Alpine Amp MRX-M100

Specs:
Max Power: 1900W
RMS Power Ratings:
Per channel into 4 Ohms: 600W x 1 (@14.4V Ƈ% THD+N, 20Hz - 200Hz)
Per channel into 2 Ohms: 1000W x 1 (@14.4V Ƈ% THD+N, 20Hz - 200Hz)
What do you think about this combo?
...Oh yeah and I've already changed my inside speakers to all Alpine Type-R's.

Zenclosure:
Mounting depth - approx. 7" using a sub with a 6.125" diameter magnet. (Most subs 7" deep or less will fit)
SWX-1043D:
Top-Mount Depth - 8.6"
Not going to work, plus the whole running all parts by same manufacturer (when not being paid to do so) is a dead giveaway of going with "style" over quality and function.
Are you after sound quality or excess volume?
If you're after sound quality, a subwoofer that'll give you great SQ for less - Sundown SA-10 (6" mounting depth).
If you're looking for a ton of SPL/max volume, you shouldn't be looking at a sealed enclosure at all, and since different subs need different ported enclosures, there's no generic box that'll work, so you'll have to get one custom made for the sub.

Well my second option that I would like to go with would be the 2 10" Zenclosure box with two type-r's...the mounting depth on the subs are 5-7/8''...this should be good then right? And what's your opinion on the sub? I really appreciate your help.
I wouldn't put an sa in a sealed box.
Esp a small flimsy one like the zen enclosure. They're great sounding subs, but more suited for ported enclosures.
If u wanna stick with alpine, go for the type r 8's.
