No-Bose HU into Bose system

Just wondering if it's plug and play bringing the non-Bose HU (6-disc) into the Bose system? I can't find a definitive answer as to whether it'll work without modification, nor have I found pics of the back of the Bose HU to see how the connections are? Thanks in advance!!!

No. Definitively no.

The plugs will plug in, the signal wires are also in the same place, but the bose unit outputs a low-level differential-balanced signal on those wires, while the non-bose outputs a high-level unbalanced signal. You will have the same problem with audio signal that people who try and put an aftermarket unit into the bose amplifier without using a signal adapter like the PAC ROEM-NIS2.

Thank you very much, I figured the PAC was gonna be needed, but thought I'd verify! Appreciate the help!
