SkyFi 2 FM mod good as PAC?

For anyone that has the SkyFi 2 and the PAC connector - is the improved FM modulator as good as the direct connection with the PAC unit? Or is the FM modulator at least as good as an FM station. I have the original SkyFi and the FM modulator sucks. I'm using the cassette connection which is fine except for the wires. I was planned on getting the PAC unit but if the SkyFi 2 FM modulator is acceptable, I just might upgrade. Thanks.

No FM modulator will ever sound as good as the PAC, the limitation is due to just the way FM works, not so much a quality of parts one. I havent heard either of the SkyFi's FM modulator, but if you didn't like the old one, I doubt the new one will sound any better.

Before the PAC came out I was using the best FM modulator that I could find. I have since upgraded to the PAC and I can tell you that it makes a very noticible difference.

I agree. I dont think that any other connection to the headunit can give you the sound and clarity that the PAC offers. All my customers would agree - from thier feedback to me.
