Question Replace PA11-NIS with something that supports Bluetooth?

I've loved using my iPhone as a music jukebox with my stock Bose stereo using a USA Spec PA11-NIS adapter for some time now, but I'm switching phones and want to use Bluetooth to stream audio.

Has anyone connected a Bluetooth audio input adapter to their stock Bose system?

I'm considering this connected to the AUX inputs on the PA11-NIS:

Amazon Amazon

But is there a better way?

I've been wondering the same thing. I want to stream audio/video from my iphone to my aftermarket HU without any wires to plug into.

What phone will you be going with?

AND do you plug the AUX plug in behind the headunit, can you hide the other end of the bluetooth device behind the HU too or do you have to have it exposed for a good enough signal?

Bluetooth is a fairly low power signal. I bet the best place to put the bt dongle would be in either the cubby above the radio, or the center console. I have the PA14-INFI and am looking to do the same thing.

I might try this, because it will just plug into my existing iPod/iPhone connector:

UPDATE... I ended up getting this and it's SH*T!

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/230650077172?...84.m1497.l2649

It worked initially, then stopped sending audio... and the eBay seller claims that they don't support car stereo use, and is offering me a refund.

So I'll keep searching...

I personally have the sprint anycom fipo adapter and it sounded great in my 08 Sedan...but it looks like it's hard to come by nowadays, but for $20 you cant go wrong. I'm waiting on my pa15-infi to hook mine up to my new (to me) 06 coupe.
