Annoying whistling noise

I have been having this problem for a couple of months now and i cant figure out what to do about it. a high pitched noise comes out of my passenger side tweeter almost every time i start my car and continues through the rest of the time i am driving. the noise get higher pitched when the RPMs get higher. it is very annoying and i need some help on what to do. if anybody knows what this is called or has any clue on what to do i would appreciate it.

Sounds like a ground issue. Do you have a pioneer head unit?

As Ray mentioned above, its a ground-related issue. You'll find lots of information on this online as this is a fairly common problem.

Here's a good site to check out and i believe it may have same problem as yours. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/wirin...ine-issue.html There can be several factors that i can think of for your tweeter to cause that whine. When i had a pioneer headunit installed in my integra along with an aftermarket subwoofer i did get that whine as well. Here are a few things that i can think of that is causing that whine:
1. RCA's. Do you have the power wire and RCA's ran on the same side? If so this will cause your speakers to generate engine noise. The proper way is to run the power wire on one side and the rca's on the opposite side.
2. The headunit itself is causing the whining noise. Here's a temporary fix which i tried and it did work as well. http://www.hondacivicforum.com/forum...x-*56k*-75438/
3. Replace the headunit or amp.

Hope this helps.
