2nd generation oem radio in first generation g35
I was wondering how hard it would be to put in a 2nd generation non-bose radio into my first generation g35 non-bose? I know the panels and center console will need to be swaped out or modified somehow, but will the electrical connections work?
Electrical connections for the radio are the same, for the climate control, however, you're out of luck.
Also, dumping money into putting another POS failure-prone factory unit is dumb.

Can't speak for the 1st gen OEM Radio, but the 2nd gen one is definately not failure-prone. Don't know where you get that info. It's actually pretty decent (it's the speakers that are crappy) in comparison to other OEM ones.

Seriously?
You must never come into this forum.
I'm 3 for 3 on failures on 2nd gen units in my g35s.
They're about as bad as 1st-gen XBOX 360's.
Not just of note are the number of threads for broken radios, but the sheer number of "mine too" responses in them.
