having trouble with Nav mod to DVD player on 05 model

Hi all, i took my 05 coupe in to mod my stock Nav to play dvd. The installer is having trouble with the 05 model because the wiring is different from the 04s. Checked around and everyone with this mod has the 04 model and not 05. Just wondering if anyone can help with this problem?

I'm on it! I have asked a for a response from AV. Let's see what they say. I heard at one point the wiring maybe the same. We will find out in a day or two for sure. Will let you all know...

Funny, I still get orders for AV Electronics for 03 and 04 sedans/coupes - but none for '05s?? The cars are just too new I guess...

ikSardarG, you know I want one

Just been waiting to make sure everything will work...too much $$ not to be sure. The PAC website doesn't list 2005 G35 but does list 2005 Altima, so I do not know if that means they have checked it and ruled it incompatible or maybe they just haven't checked it. As for AV, I have no clue and will wait for your response. As soon as you find out on either the PAC or AV units, pleeaaassssseeeee let us know. Thanks

Jason

Ok,
I got a really vague reply from AV on this so I have asked for another clarification. Thier answer was "yes the conversion kit will work with the '05".... But that wasn't my real question. I was actually asking them details about wiring etc... Let's see if I get a better answer tomorrow. Will keep you posted...

Well, I didnt get a reply yet from them... Let's wait till Monday and see what happens. My guess is that they dont have much feedback from the '05 guys to know whether the wiring is substantially changed or not.

EDIT: Got a reply from them a few hours later... It was short and sweet: "We will check it and get back to you".

Hi Everyone
The G35 mod involves that you cut 4 wires and splice in. There is no plug and play for this car because it does not use standard nissian, infinity connectors.
The mod has 2 inputs 1 for DVD and 1 for backup camera. The unit auto switches to backup camera when you put the car in reverse. Yes the Mod works on the 05 G35 and 06 M35. The RGB mod is $200. If you want to check out our service and quality you can go to

one of the many forums we do group buys on. You will see that we have sold over 100 mods alone on this forum with 100% customer satisfaction.
We have RGB units for every model car and we provide the best RGB units at the best prices around. We will NEVER be undersold. We also offer many plug and play solution. Feel free to call us at 718-763-7367.
