Any other DVD/mp3/NAV systems out there/on the way (did anyone go to CES)?
Thanks for the info on the IVA-D901.
I've been waiting 3 months for the possibility of a new 2005 version of the IVA-D901, but seeing as to how this will remain the more updated unit, I will purchase it now.
Look for setup pics soon!

Very interesting... I don't really want DVD playback while driving (I admit that it would make me unsafe), but I wanted to have it as an option for those times you're stuck waiting in the car...
Sounds like it's a legal issue, not a technical one, which is good to hear.

Gentlemen, great reading from those of you that attended the CES. I will be in the market for a new HU for my sedan and also fully upgrade the audio/video in one shot. I'm more in the market for a double din because I like the flat, flush look on the center concole as opposed to the motorized screen coming out. I'm very intrested in the pioneer one and also about the new eclipse units. The AVN 5495 sounds really good and it imcorprtates a 30GB HDD with it among other formats. Can anyone list possible ballpark pricing? Thanks!
If you go to this web page:
http://www.urbanracer.com/articles/a...asp?a=1218&z=1
...then go to the middle of the page, you will see a thumbnail of a 6.5" screen. Click on it to expand and voila -- it's the Avic-D1! Not the greatest picture in the world, but better than nothing.
Questions: No CD player w/o removing the DVD disc? That seems inconvenient. If we add a an external CD changer, can also plug in XM Radio + traffic? What about using the steering wheel controls?
Also: How does Pioneer reliability stack up against Kenwood (PNAV-7015) or, for that matter, against Eclipse (AVX-2404)? That motorized screen door is cute, but does it work the 10,000th time as well as the 10th?
