It's just how the default programming of the ASWC assigns those buttons, so yes, it is correct.

It's linked from the sticky. I felt like closure was a good thing on such things. CLOSURE!

Factory bluetooth location

First, the posts about aftermarket radio installation are fantastic and saved many hours!

A point of clarification for anyone looking for the factory blue tooth location in the 2006 G35 sedan. Its in the trunk, but it is in the roof of the trunk next to the Bose sub woofer.

Looking for it in the floor did give me a great opportunity to clean out the trunk!

Are there disadvantages to using the factory mic? (G35 2006)

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Thanks. I get the bad quality, but where does it usually get positioned in a new install?

I put mine in the same general location, but since aftermarket mics can be pointed at the driver, you get less noise with them, in general.

Two spots that seem to work well are by the factory mic, or by the visor at the top of the a-pillar.

Mine is at the top of the A-pillar and it works great. In 6 years with my system I've had 0 complaints about call quality.
