Direct replacement on 2K6 Bose Head unit?

6 cd. changer went out today after my run this evening. looked through the forums tonight and, although I have an amp and all aftermarket speakers, spenging $1,200.00+ is not an option for me at the time. Plus, I really don't crank up the stereo that much. Anyone around here knows where I can buy a NEW direct replacement POS Clarion changer? Thanks guys.

There are no more new ones, just refurbished. Used 05-07's headunits are all going to be about as old or older, so just as likely to fail as your old one.

If you've already replaced the amplifier, it'll make replacing the headunit that much easier, since you're not dealing with the signal incompatibility issues associate with the bose amp.

Any aftermarket unit with the JDM trim "directly" replaces it, and *with* the price of the JDM trim, if you do it yourself, you can get it replaced for $500 or less and still retain all the functions (except the 6-disc changer, which, honestly is MUCH better served by using a cheap iPod).
