Fi Audio?

Hello forum....I have almost finished assembling the components for a small build. I'm down to the subwoofer....I've been looking around and I stumbled upon FI audio. They seem to be a quality American brand but I have never had the opportunity to hear any of their products. Specifically I am interesten in the 10 inch FI Q model since it seems to be designed to work well in a small box. Do any of you guys have experience with this brand? I wanted to post a link to the webiste but my work computer's security won't let me access the site....

And while I'm at it? Since I don't post much, how about opinions on Ascendant Audio, Sundown, and SSA?

The Fi Q with high QTS is a great sub for small sealed boxes.

there are tons of options to go with but if you like the Fi Q I say go for it.
the sub is a great blend of sound quality and over all SPL. you wont be disappointed.

Yea I noticed that with FI....and I definitely would do the High qts and cooling options. My main concern is maximum output from a sub that wont take up the whole trunk.

And I like the fact that its made here in the good ol usa. I'm probably 90% decided on it but I also liked what I saw from the other brands I mentioned in the first post. I hear a lot of good things about sundown as well....noone seems to dislike sundown products

by output do you mean boomy bass or ???

boomy bass is best in a large ported box

I would do a 1-1.5 cube ported box for a 10" fi Q if you want loud bass

None of their subs work well in small boxes.

There's nothing sq about the Q either.

SSD is a better choice.

This is why I ask questions. Thank you.. FI's website claims the q is their sq model. And since I have not laid hands on it myself, I ask...

I prefer the sound of sealed boxes. I listen to a large variety of music so sealed always worked for me. I want a sub that works well in a sealed box that's around 1 to 1.5 net cubic feet after accounting for sub displacement. And FI's website claimed the Q was suitable...
