ANY type of electronics goes down in price soon after its release.

Ive learned that you can wait for the price to come down and search for a great deal or purchase the item now and enjoy.

I understand what you're saying. I'm not talking about a gradual decrease in price, what I'm talking about are those deals that pop up every now and then that blow you away. maybe just a temporary price cut for whatever reasons. such as an overstock.

I bought a JVC KW-NT3HDT on ebay for a little under $500. Granted it's a 2 year old model but they were selling for $799 elsewhere recently.
