Help, can't get Metra Axxcess ASWC working!
Hello,
So i recently installed a pioneer AVH-P4400BH, no issues there.
trying to setup the AxxcessASWC and heres what I get.
according the the blinking LED. it's not detecting that any of the wires of the ASWC are even connected. i get 6-7 short blinks of the LED, no long blinks
The LED then blinks 6 times which signifies that it has detected my head unit as a Pioneer HU.
From there it goes to a steady blinking slow LED.
Here is what I have:
Red.gray to "pin 4" red with a silver stripe
White/green to "pin 13" green with a silver stripe
Yellow "pin 11" to ground at top of the mounting bracket for the head unit.
The ground wire of the ASWC was connected to the fire wall off one of the gas pedal bolts/nuts, I tried it at the top of the head unit bracket as well.
The 3.5mm plug is connected to the Head unit's W/R port, the LED blinks 6 times which signifies that it has detected my head unit as a Pioneer.
So the question is.... what it causing this to not detect my steering wheel controls at all?
I have a 2006 G35 Coupe with the Bose system, No Navigation.
The steering wheel controls worked before I pulled the Bose HU.
I even gave metra a call and all they could suggest was moving the ground for it...where is the "best spot" to ground it off at?
