Bluetooth issue with new ICS update

My phone recently updated to up to ICS 4.0.4. I think i had gingerbread before that. The issue is that my nexus S 4G worked perfectly with the factory bluetooth before the update. Call clarity on both ends was great and all the features worked as they should have. With the update, my phone automatically connects with the car fine, and even rings through the speakers when i get a call, as it should. The issue is when the person on the other end starts talking to me it is garbled (sort of like a robot voice but in a different language ) From what i understand, it is the same on the other end of the call. I brought my phone back in to Sprint and they reset it and told me if it doesn't work to contact Samsung. It did not work so i contacted Samsung and they want me to send my phone back in as if something is broken. Only issue is i can't go with out my phone so this isn't an option. Plus i think its more of a software issue where it got upgraded past what my car is capable of handling.

Does anyone have the same issue or any ideas for a fix?
Thanks for any help!
Greg

I'm running ICS on my Evo 3D and have no issue whatsoever. What else do you have connected via bluetooth to your phone? You may want to try to clear out your list on the car, then re-pair the phone. I had an issue when I connected more than one thing via bluetooth to my phone, as soon as I disconnected everything but the handsfree audio (phone functionality) it sounded crystal clear.

The only Bluetooth device I use is my car so that's the only one i have on it. I have already unpaired and repaired my phone with the car. Still not working right. I appreciate the input.

Sounds like you might have to go off the radar for a couple days. Can't they send you a replacement before you send them the broken phone?

I have same problem with Bluetooth in my 07. ICS does not have the correct drivers for older Nissan cars. I checked all over and had to downgrade to cm7 gingerbread to get it to work. If this is the same as gingerbread, it did not work at first, it may be fixed in the next update or two. If I find a cm9 or other mod that works I'll post it here.

So you are rooted and that carries drivers for Bluetooth? I rooted my last phone but didn't do much with it. But now that i need to do it to fix my phone im more interested. Is there any hope in finding Bluetooth drives from gingerbread and some how replacing those in ICS? Or am i over simplifying this?
