How do I install OEM satellite radio?

How do I know if I am satellite ready or pre-wired?

I bought an '06 G35 sedan and it has an antenna in the front of the car in the top middle above the windshield with a black antenna labled "XM" on it.

So when I press the radio button, I only get FM1, FM2, and AM.

& what items are needed to install satellite?

Thank you.

All '06s are pre-wired.

Factory satellite antennas are on the back of the car, above the rear glass. That antenna on your car is from an aftermarket receiver. You'll have to go to an audio shop to see how much of the aftermarket system is still installed, and how they did it.

You'll need a factory antenna and factory satellite adapter to add factory satellite, otherwise a "generic" receiver and a way to connect it to your factory radio, like a wired FM modulator, or one of the adapters that adds an AUX input.
