sup guys !! hey sooo i ****ed up lol let's put it this way. a few years back i bought my g35 sedan & i thought that i could fix it myself well but guess what i didn't i complete made my g35 interior look bad but i didn't care at the time because i was young & stupid i guess & it was the first time i had such of nice car.

Anyways long story short i broke the faceplate of my radio & i cut it with a saw hoping that i will make it look good but like i said before i ****ed up & then i lost my job & i had no money to repair it, but now times are better & i am searching for this face plate the wood mahogany color & i keep looking & looking & i can't seem to find anyone that sells it & i came around this website & i can see that you guys are pretty much on top of everything that has to do with g35's i'll post some pictures so you all can see how much i ****ed up.

So if anyone of you knows of a website or wants to sell the face plate or a double din with that color please contact me i am really interested on fixing my car now that i have the time to do it.

i will really appreciate.

 

Bad punctuation in the post or not (using your phone to post, I assume), you didn't do too bad on doing that yourself, it's definitely salvageable.

The bad news is that there is no "wood" trim that comes pre-cut with a double-din-sized opening. The "wood" trim was only an option on the USA-SPEC vehicles, and the double-din sized radio trim finisher is only available for the JAPAN-SPEC vehicles. Due to this, there's only aluminum trim available.

Now, if you want to completely return to the stock radio and stock trim, Grubb's Infiniti, or one of the other dealer/board sponsors are your best bet for a fair deal on one. If it's available separate from the circuit board, it should be less than $300.

Now, the pictures you have of it are not that bad. In fact, if you extended the size of the opening a bit and picked up a radio that comes with a trim ring like this (this happens to come with a Clarion double-din radio), it would cover up the marred edge you have there very easily.


With just a little work and the new radio, it could end up looking more like this, only better if you had that outer trim ring concealing any gap.


Where are you located? If you can get to southern Georgia sometime in October, I'd love to document the double-din in stock trim conversion and lend a hand if you need it.

 

Thank you for the reply, well that sucks i wish that they would sell that double din i need & i'm in VA & Georgia is far away & i don't think is possible, so i guess i'm going to have to get a double din radio & get the trim ring & try to make it look better.
