I think i will go with the Pioneer AVH8400BH. it's on the 487 to 600 range. only problem i'm thinking about now.. what will the 2013 radios look like (features).

i'm gonna take a guess and say i needs these as well
Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface
Metra 40-NI10 Nissan Antnna Adapter
As for the 2013 radios... I don't expect the Pioneer AVH-Pxxxx series to change a lot, since they were almost completely re-built last year so the only big change I see is full support for iPhone 5, but the same support should come via firmware updates for the 2012 units. The AVIC-Z and X series though, are overdue for a major overhaul, so the nav units could be awesome... or they might just end up looking like the current AVH units (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, they're the best interface out there right now), but with built-in navigation. But we won't see them for a good 4-5 months, and on the street, maybe 6-8 months from now.

Something I did note is that you really need to do your homework on the amp/rca cables off amazon as a lot of them are very poor quality/not what you expect to get.
thanks for the info.. i got a feeling i'm gonna end up in the 1500 range.. anything over that.. is not worth it too me.. when ya get my age.. all the radio stuff is not that important..

As I age (over 30 crowd), I find the audio quality gets more important. Enjoy the ride. Big booming woofers, not important, but quality speakers, tweeters and "enough" bass is great.

^ hehe i pass the 30 stage already heheh I'm holding strong at 40. Here is a question for ya Wrathernaut.

Does this items work with the pioneer avh 8400bh

1. Metra 40-NI10 - AM/FM Antenna adapter. I know what this is.

2. Steering Wheel Interface: - PAC SWI-PS for Pioneer X920BT, Z110BT, Z120BT or Z130BT OR Metra Axxess ASWC for ALL others. Which one would u recommend?

3. Metra 70-7550 (Non-Bose) Wiring Harness. What do I need this for? I'm trying to understand what every piece does.

4. What else do I need?

Thanks. Going to get these Items monday. Just want to make sure I have the right stuff.

1) Yep.
2) Metra Axxess ASWC.
3) If you don't have the factory bose audio system, yes you need it. It acts as a go-between from the plug that went into the factory radio and the plug that goes into the new radio.
4) Trim/climate control kit.

The rest of what you need are just the tools, something to connect wires (solder and heat-shrink is greatly recommended, but good crimps can also work) and the information from the shopping list at the top of this forum.

3) If your headunit says bose on it and you didn't replace the trim, it's the bose headunit and you need the PAC ROEM-NIS2, not the 70-7550 harness to do your installation, unless you are also replacing the bose amplifier as part of the installation.
