just my two cent bro.. u might want to get the proper wiring nuts or clips for ya wires.. U don't want the tape to come undone and burn something up or ground it out.

It's soldered, but yeah, electrical tape loses stickiness when it gets hot, like summertime in the car hot. Heat shrink is the best.

i like to tape it side ways then zip tie the bunch at the tape area.
