I have the JDM DD dash kit. I need to replace the JDM AC controller on my 03 G35. The temp control button stopped responding. Can I use the JDM AC controller from the 05-07 G35? They look to have the same basic layout and harness. I couldn't find an answer on this so maybe nobody has tried it.

Thanks

my initial thought would be no, or else why would they even offer the single AC for the 2005+ kit they could just use the 2003.... perhaps Wreathernut will chime in on this, it might be strictly design difference, but I am not 100% sure

Thanks. I know the metra kit seems to use the same controller for the 03-05 and 05-07 dash kit. Just leads me to believe that they would interface the same way.

I reviewed the wiring for the climate controls. The plug is the same and has all the same connections, however, that doesn't mean it'll work, since there are not individual wires for each button to the computer that controls it, just a transmit and receive from the sub-processor on the climate control board that goes to the computer that actually controls the fans, a/c compressor and vent motors. So basically, they communicate on the same channels, but I have no way of telling if they are speaking the same language. If anyone wants to bring an 03/04 to me, I'll try my JDM a/c controls in it to answer this question.

Ok, so I took some pics, of the controllers, on the left pic is the 2003-2004 and on the right is the 2005+ controller, I think no, because the mounting is different, the plugs appear to be the same, but have different wire colors, so not sure if that's a problem or not....
