Im thinking about buying a new stereo for my 05 coupe and have been looking at all the options on Crutchfield.com. It says that all the units that fit my car are double dins, and then offers you the trim to fit it. I was wondering if anyones installed a smaller stereo and if so, where did you get the trim to fit it? Ive been looking everywhere and could only find one pic of one and the set up didnt have the pocket under it, just a solid piece. Is there a way to use the double din trim and just fit a pocket under it?
I know you need an adaptor to keep your dual climate controls at least in the 04, is that the same way with my 05 and are those hard to install and work with most systems?

My bad i know its a few questions but any information on any of it would be a big help. Any system recommendations or pictures would also be greatly appreciated, thanks

 

I don't think crutchfield carries the single-din metra kit. You'll want the Metra 99-7605 for single din. No modification to use a single-din radio or to keep the dual climate control working.
