double din installed

I got my double din installed and the volume in my deck is low but the sound that comes out's pretty loud... does this happen to all that did the double din conversion?

did you use preamp outputs?
When I did the doubledin conversion I wired my head unit to the Bose amp using the head unit's internal amplifier... it sounded much much better. Volume wasnt a problem. In fact, it was so good, I was tempted to stop right there.....

no. if you did the double din mod and want to drive the stock amp, you can either use the preamp outputs on the head unit and use a line level converter... or you can do what i did for a day and just drive the stock amp with the internally amplified output from the head unit. The way I did it was easy.. .just connect the head unit to a harness adapter, and connect the harness adapter to the factory harness that used to connect to the bose.
