I didn't lose my dual air, the japanese version a/c controller has it. You cannot use the stock a/c controller because it is combined with the stereo on the same mother board...

Where did you find the japanese version of a/c controller? You still need to switch the dual button from your OEM a/c controller right?

The JDM a/c controller already has it (2005). I will double-check with my installer, but I am very sure it came with the dual button already. You can get the JDM a/c controller from Chad (Jason?) at Riverside. He usually has the best price. I got mine from Grubbs (site sponser) They ordered like 3500 units in December. I can't believe they ordered so many a/c controllers...

Hey all,

I'm new to the forum, although I've had a G35 for a while now. I'm looking to put in an AVIC-D3 (unless anyone has any other suggestions, but my friend has it for his Acura RSX and so far it looks good). I've been doing some reading/research, but I just wanted to confirm that what I need is a double-din kit and a new a/c controller? (I have an 05 coupe.)

Also, could anyone give me the contact information for Riverside and Grubbs? (Preferably emails since pm boxes can get full)

Thanks!

Jason,

I just checked your website, and the A/C controller doesn't have the "DUAL" button on it. Can you post a link if you do have a "DUAL" A/C controller.

thanks.

you cant see the after pic very well, but i noticed that the circuit wasnt complete so i looked at another LED and ONE of them has a "242" (or "292") next to it, so i soldered one next to it and it didnt work... flipped the "242" and it still didnt work... put in another LED and it works!!!!!!!!!!

moral of the story: my soldering skills are fine...........

conclusion:
1. make sure the LED has the little green dot on the lower right corner, like all the rest
2. solder on a "242" from the stock board onto the left side to complete the circuit, i guess its a resistor??... (i hope i didnt put the wrong number on and burn my car down one of these days!!!...) also note: im not sure if the orientation of the ?resistor? is important, but i have mine facing to the right, meaning u have to rotate the A/C controller 90degrees counterclockwise to read the numbers (see last pic)

Damn...the pictures are garbled???

I have a great one from an 05 coupe for sale. Was installed for less than a year until car was sold. I bought it months ago and never installed it. Here are a few pics, PM me for price.

I contacted both Riverside and Grubbs. The JDM controller doesn't have the button on it. You can still use dual air though, just swap your old button onto it.

G35 Double Din Kits

I work for Fields Infiniti in Glencoe Il 847-998-5200. My name is Brian and i am the Service Director. I think we have some of these kits in stock (we use them to install Eclipse double din navigation/am/fm/cd units in old body style sedans and coupes. Call me to amke sure they are what you need if you are interested. Also I have a handful of the eclipse AVN 50D that I am looking to sell (about $1200.00 each) if any one is interested. Also my in house mobile electronics guy can probably talk you through the modification for the Dual climate.

I have asked this question before, maybe a year or more ago, no answer for it. Maybe now someone has had experience with this issue: If you put in the aftermarket stereo, does the Bluetooth feature in the '06 or newer Infiniti still work? Or do I have to get an adapter for the new stereo?

That makes a difference for me because I want to install a "pre-Bluetooth" era receiver. If there is an adapter that will work with this stereo system (Kenwood Excelon series), let me know. Thanks.
