Anyone have Parrot Asteroid radio?
So I've been doing some research on getting a good radio and I came across the Parrot Asteroid and Parrot Asteroid Smart In-dash radios. Does anyone have either of these in their G? I would really enjoy something like this since I use my Nexus 4 so much, it would be nice to have it integrated with my car.
Oh damn, didin't know that. I been checking there website every few weeks since I been wanting to get it & it always says coming soon.
(Edit, just bought one so I'll let you know soon.)

I'd also like to know if the bluetooth data connection works with all the streaming audio apps, since bluetooth is much more battery-friendly communication method, and I don't have to blast out as a wifi hotspot whenever I'm driving.
This is the first "big-name" android-based headunit I've seen, there are plenty of questionable no-name units available on eBay, but at least with the Parrot one, we can almost completely assume the phone portions work right.

I definitely want a full review - how good the voice control of music is, whether you can use voice commands to set a destination, etc.

Going by the plug on it, I'd guess it doesn't work, unless they made it to work with another manufacturer's standard for wired remote. The axxess is firmware updatable though, so if Metra wants to make it work, they could.
Ya I been looking it over all day. Looks like I will have to get the parrot unika if I want steering controls. Think I will wait til after the install to see how badly I want basic steering wheel controls to shell out $100 for it.
$100 seems a little excessive for steering wheel controls, our cars aren't that big so I wouldn't mind just using the controls on the screen itself, it wouldn't be too much of a pain to reach over to the screen as I'm 6'1".
Cool, definitely looking forward to it... I'm considering replacing my wife's Pioneer X910BT, and this unit looks interesting.

Anyone have this exact setup? I have seen some posts about Parrot, but not this exact model. If you have it, can you stream spotify tracks that you have when offline? I think this is for premium spotify members. I am trying to bypass having to use my iphone 5 through the ipod cable in the center console. If I can use this model to listen to offline spotify tracks, this might be something worth while for me. Otherwise, I could just use my phone, but it get's annoying plugging it in and out.
Let me know your thoughts, folks! Thanks!
