Newbie Questions, Why do I hate Bose/Infiniti?

I have newbie questions and need pretty basic answers.

04 G35 X with Bose HU

1) Having Bose HU means Premium right?

2)Why the quality is poor? HU, speakers, amp? or all of them?

3)What do I have to do just to have an OK system? For example would putting in new speakers, or changing the amp increase the sound quality and clarity?

or do they all suck and needs to be replaced? Im not looking to put a boombox or anything like that.

Sorry for pretty basic questions but I am not really familiar with the terminology of audio systems.

Thanks in advance.

1) Short answer: Bose sucks, they're a marketing company that sells audio products. They are in no way a premium audio company.

2) The headunit outputs a rather clean, flat signal, but it's differential-balanced, so few amps can be used without an adapter of sorts. See this post for more information: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...-stock-hu.html

3) Replace the thing messing with audio quality mots - the bose amp - with a JL Audio amp or another one which can take the balanced signal. The speakers are ok, definitely not great at all, but they're adequate.

Replacing the headunit and amp together is the best way to improve the audio, since you won't be limited to the few that support differential-balanced audio signals. Replace the speakers after that and you'l be leaps and bounds ahead of the stock system.
