Aftermark Alarms

Anybody have one? Im sure you do.. I cant find a thread or section for any.. Wondering if its worth getting an aftermarket alarm or if the stock alarm would do any justice. I just got new speakers, subs and amps. I dont want to replace the headunit as im afraid my car will just become a target.. If anything I was going to replace the stock alarm with an aftermarket but is it really worth it for a price of around $800 for everything? I want a new headunit soooo bad now that ive installed a system but dont want to run the risk of my **** getting torn apart.

You can't go wrong with a Viper alarm/starter. I have a Viper 791 for years now and it works great. You can add options to it like tilt senors as well.

Whatever system you decide to go with just make sure you find a reputable shop that can install it cause ive heard some horror stories on some peoples installs.

I see your from Boston, any reputable places? Not sure were your from.. but I got quoted $800 for installation alone at Parkway Sound and Security in Everett, and then $450 for installation and a place in Saugus. I bought a Viper 5902, need a place to install it now
