No A/C control or radio operation after reinstall

Hey all, I just reinstalled my stock radio after painting some plastic parts of the center console, that was operational prior too removal. After reinstalling, I get a solid lengthy beep coming from the speakers when I start the car, and have no radio or A/C control. The head unit has power, I know this because I could here the disc change mechanism working while plugging it in. Thanks.

Clean and re-attach the ribbon that attaches to head unit.

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to help. I thought about a blown fuse as...but the 15Amp under the hood is fine. All the screws are in tact, It was working perfectly fine before and I've removed plenty of stereos. I'm pretty lost. My A/C does what it wants, the radio is powerless, and none of my controls work.
