Double Din Kit

Hey I am thinking about buying a Double Din for my car. I am not looking to spend a lot of money and am on a tight budget. I am going to to go with the Metra Kit and this is the one I found on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/METRA-99-760...c1f9f1&vxp=mtr

I am wondering what the best double din stereo is that I can get for around $500 or less. I want it to be touch screen, have gps, and all of that. What else will I need to buy in order to install everything and what size should the stereo be in order to fit perfect? Thanks!

Metra kit prices have gone up, but it's still a few bucks cheaper on amazon (but no free wiring kit), or if you order a radio from Crutchfield, you get it for $100 and they do include the wiring harness and antenna adapter free. Since you *can* get a radio for under $80, you can actually get a radio AND the kit for under the price of that trim kit on eBay. It used to be any $50 and up radio, not sure if they increased the minimum radio price, regardless, just treat it as a $80 discount on the radio if you're buying from crutchfield.

Since that gives you an extra $80 to spend, in the $580-and-less radios, I'd recommend:
Pioneer 8400BH, unless you have an iPhone5.
Pioneer 5500BHS if you have an iPhone5.
Pioneer 4400BH if you want to go under budget and still get a great radio.

Thanks a lot! Just one question. Is the $379 a good radio or should I spend the extra $120 and get one of the other ones? And do they have CD players in them?

If you have a smartphone, you have navigation about 10x better than any headunit's navigation, especially a sub-$600 navigation headunit.

I'd get the 4400, unless I had an iPhone5.

My first JL 500/1v2 died after about a month of light use. No problems with the replacement or the JL 300/4v2 though.

Some just are bad, regardless of brand or price.
