Maxima Sub in G35 Sedan

I have a 2005 G35 with Bose. The rear subwoofer stopped working over a year ago. It started sounding bad, then just stopped working. While in the junkyard I cam across a sub from a 2001 maxima. They appear to be the same size and have the same plugs.

Has anybody tried putting the maxima sub into the G35?

Looks like this:

Worst case scenario, it works and you're subjected to more bose audio, best case, it fries the entire bose system and you have a good reason to upgrade to audio that doesn't suck.

There's definitely not enough power in the bose amp to fry any subwoofer, so you're unlikely to break anything.

Go for it.

If you can get a measure on the maxima one, here's a measurement of the factory bose:

Sub

The 2005 model may handle slightly, and I mean very slightly, more power than the 2001 model but I highly doubt you will fry it with the stock bose amp. And honestly, even if the connectors don't match up exactly you aren't going to hurt anything other than the maxima sub by splicing. If you decide to splice I would highly recommend using the splicers in the picture so you can retain the factory clips

EDIT: I looked at the sub closer and you may not be able to splice. Also, when I said hurt the maxima sub I specifically meant blowing it. It is highly unlikely your car would catch on fire from using that sub lol. Both subs should run at similar Ohms as well.
