Thank you sir. I have my 4080 and w6 waiting.

I am a little confused about something. Will this or will this not help with road noise?

Yes/no

It will help but it's not going to be dead silent. You should notice a difference if you do your whole car. Realistically, the firewall should be done too but that is a nightmare to some extent. You will notice it on the doors. I would also do some of the foam tiles or whatever they are that Wrath recommended and the expanding foam I recommended for maximum effect or keep it simple

I don't know how to do wheel wells. If you get an answer I'd like to know too. As Wrath has stated use the foam made for windows as it's pliable and tape off holes too keep the foam inside.

I used about 1/2 of a CLD tile on each wheel well. The noise reduction depends on how loud your tires are. There's some factory vibration dampener already on there, but not as good as the CLD tiles from SDS.

Doing the doors made the biggest improvement in noise reduction that I noticed, since the doors are generally going to be the only thing between you and the wind noise of the cars beside you. The tiles on there also prevent the door skins from vibrating along with the upgraded door speakers.

Closed cell foam doesn't come in a can, it comes in a roll. You cannot get the quality you need from home depot/lowes.

Hey Naut,

Thanks for the post. However I think I miscommunicated what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the foam that I spray into the trunk door to help silence it. I think it was mentioned on the first page of this thread? I remember it saying something about window section of Lowes or something... wait one. Let me find it.

Also, do it SLOWLY, and don't try and fill entire gaps at once. Put masking tape over any holes or gaps it can possibly come out as well. It's nearly impossible to get the foam of of carpet, so remove or cover any in the area as well.
Naut, this is what I was talking about in my last post. Thanks.
