Hi Everyone,

I cannot seem to play video on DDX 470 using USB. I have video in right format and I also tried different resolutions. Whenever I select video option the system does not recognize any video. I tried making a video folder and also copied files without any folder, nothing happens.

I was wondering if someone has similar deck and help me out here. I am not sure what I am missing.

I have a DDX418 and I had the same problem. I found that you can play videos, in the right format, if they are not too big. I gave up on that and just burned movies onto a disc (music video comp.) or just played them from my iphone.

 

I also had problems with my Kenwood DDX 470 from playing video files from USB.

I found a solution though.

You need to convert the video files to MPEG 1 or MPEG 2.

I tried all others, MP4, AVI, AVI, WMV and more. NONE worked. I contacted Kenwood, they said try encoding in MPG.

I did, and it worked. I used the Apowersoft Video Capture that downloads videos, converts and more.

Good luck everyone else and careful driving while watching videos. I know its tempting, but pay attention, YOUR LIFE AND OTHERS are in danger when looking away from the road.
