Looking for a sound system for my 03 Sedan. Show me what you got.

pretty much looking for everything. speakers, headunit, amp, subs.

Not looking for anything too crazy. My budget is pretty low. Just looking for something that will put me at better than stock.

just picked up some infinity 62.9i's for front and rear doors. Now i need amps and a sub. Thanks for the offer, lets see what else is out there. a sub/box/amp kit would be ideal so i dont have to shop around so much.

 

DUDE, if you want a killer box that fits the G35 Sedans look at these! I have this in my trunk and love it!!!! Not to mention the fact it's the cheapest around!

I have rockfords in my doors and 12s in the box with an alpine MRX-M50 500watt, appradio headunit and I love my system. When It's all said and done I'll post pics!

I also have a Wii and Gamecube Overkill? I think not!

Amazon, Ebay, onlinecarstereo.com etc are your best friends. Use Bestbuy and Crutchfield to find what you want and then scour the internet for deals. For instance I bought my rockford fosgate 6.5 and 6.75 3-ways from Amazon for $85ish shipped! Anywhere else I was looking around $140. Same thing for subwoofers usually 1/2 off on Amazon. Also, don't be afraid to go used from Amazon and/or scratch and dent from Crutchfield. Crutchfield GUARANTEES their products. If the speaker is scratched who cares because it's in your door. I bought a scratch and dent box from them originally and couldn't find any issues with it.

When you refer to cheap please please please don't buy cheap quality crap like Pyle, Boss or Jensen. I have always been able to find Rockford, Alpine and Kicker for reasonable prices. You always get what you pay for; if you buy a Fiat don't expect it to run like an Infiniti

 

thanks man! i picked up some infinity 62.9i's on amazon for $75 a pair. i thought that was a decent deal. given that everywhere else they were 100-130. now i just need a cheap/decent 4 channel, and am currently talking to someone about their JL subs and JBL amp. probably keep the stock headunit for a little while unfortunately as the wifey thinks i spend too much on my cars already.

 

Makes sense because at minimum (depending on HU) HU $150ish, Metra Kit $180ish, AXXESS steering wheel adapter $25ish, Vehicle speaker harness $11ish. Close to $400! I took most of my stuff from my silverado so it wasn't as much.

Sooner than later I would get a different HU for a dedicated Sub output. Search the forums. I googled my AppRadio and found a link to an Audi forum and the guy wanted $150 for the first gen appradio. I told him I could buy it brand new from Crutchfield for $111 and got him down to $90! Just have to be creative sometimes. Normally I wouldn't mind spending the money but with a 1 year old now, I have other priorities.
