Replacing 2005 Head Unit - Newbie

Hey guys. I just got a 2005 G35 Coupe without the premium package. So far I have swapped out all the speakers, added to JL amps and a JL 10" in the trunk. My final step is to swap out the head unit so I have something more than just Bass and Treble!
I've scoured the forums and read a lot about a DD Conversion kit. Is this what I need to do this? If so, where do I get it from? The current head unit is very tall. What fills up the rest of the space in the hole since other radios are much thinner?
Any recommendations on a good decently priced radio?

thanx,
-andrew (newbie)

send this guy a email and ask him about the 05's parts number and prices----Yo****aka Ikeda yosi@j-garage.com --- about the empty space? most of the deck are single din, and we have double din size opening, you can either get d/din size screen monitor or d/din size deck or you can order the dash pocket or blank cover form yosi(see pics)
