Trunk won't open

2003 G coupe

All of a sudden my truck will not open. Not using the key fob nor the interior switch.

I've searched and found the various causes for this, included that the wire sometimes gets worn and is cut.

I'll like to avoid a dealer so I'm really curious, to what sort of shop do I take this problem? Just an everyday full service auto service shop or somewhere with more specific auto work?

If the later, could anyone possibly recommend such a place in Northern NJ.

Thanks

About a month ago I had to replace my trunk actuator since my trunk would only open if by pulling the cable on the underside of the trunk lid by crawling throught the back seats, I took my car to my local Nissan dealer.

If you wanna get in there to see if the harness is ripped you could put down the rear seats and pull the lever on the inside of the trunk to get it open. (The glowing one that is connected to the physical mechanical cable)

Did somebody activate the trunk lock in the glovebox?

To answer my own question: it was the infamous cut wires problem.

Went to a well regarded local service shop. Replaced wire(s).

Paid for 1.5 hours labor and $5 parts.
