2005 XM Reception
I had a 2003 Coupe with xm and the old school antenna. With a poor location, the antenna worked 98% of the time. With my 2005 sedan (also has tinted windows from the same place), the reception of the Terk micro antenna is horrible. Is there a trick to mounting the antenna?
Also, Does the carpet on the seatback lay flat after the sat install? Mine does not. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just purchased a Terk to replacd my OEM mounted on the roof. The purpose to move it into the vehicle on the rear deck. However, the Infiniti dealer stated that they have tried a number of these installs on the deck and every time the customer has come back and told them to move it to the outside. He did not have one success story for me.
In your post, you also say you have tint. I have read a number of post that state unless you have a ceramic tint (Huper) the standard metallic based tint will disrupt the Sat signal in the vehicle.

Grubbs is placing their small antenna near the trunk somewhere on the outside. I have not seen exact location, but this is what I was told. They are doing it to mine. They have not had any complaints from that install. Its still outside, but a hell of a lot less stuck out like the one on the roof.
