Rear speaker/sub not connected?

Hey everyone,

I just picked up a 2006 G35 coupe in Laser Red last week.

The previous owner had a audio shop in BC installed a aftermarket screen and aftermarket subs. When I purchased the vehicle, I had him remove the aftermarket subs (I'm already thinking of how i am going to fit my hockey bag in here!)

I noticed the speakers didnt sound right so after speaking to the shop that installed the aftermarket subs, he advised that he disconnected the rear speakers/factory sub. He said the disconnected wire was just tucked underneath the panel under the rear windshield.

I tried searching and trying to see how to remove that panel but I am not that good with this kind of stuff so hoping someone can dumb it down for a newbie to do (heard you need to take everything apart just to get to the panel?)

Please help.

Thanks guys!

You access the wires through the trunk.

Thanks for your quick reply DEMoLITIoN

Do i pull down the panels from inside the trunk and reach in to access the panel thats right above the rear windshield (inside the back seat of the car).

I apologize for the terminologies or lack of knowledge in this area. I am clueless when it comes to this stuff and honestly i just want my rear speakers to work! lol

The carpeted panels in the trunk come out easily after you pull the plastic nuts off. If the wire are inaccessible from there, you'll have to remove quite a bit to get the rear shelf panel off.
