Will xm 999u9-nv003 work in 06?

Have done some searches and want to get factory sat radio for my g but unsure if this 999u9-nv003 will work in a 2006 one. Everything I've read is it's the older model and has the 2 plug which is easily taken care of just need some re assurance I'm not wasting my money.

It'll work. I did the same thing with my '06 sedan. The problem is that the unit is too big to fit in the rack above the bluetooth telephone receiver. You'll have to mount it like a dealer aftermarket install. There is a TSB for the install for the 06 sedan. If you have a coupe, then I'm not sure.

PM sent. One word of caution: follow the instruction for the maximum 15 mm distance to mount the tuner from the edge of the bolt access hole. Any more and you will buckle the trunk finisher cover when you button things back up after the install because the tuner will be too close to the pass through hole and the bulge will be too much for the finisher to flex over.

Will you need to add another antenna on your roof, or is the antenna already built in somewhere? I can see the empty socket for the radio in my trunk but I don't see any antenna wires nearby.
