Stock stereo help I think

Question, I have an 03 automatic sedan. At times, while playing the radio, cd or the tape player, the front speakers will go out as the rear speakers still play. The Bose system goes in and out at times. However, I can blast the stereo and the sound comes back. Or I can cycle the door locks and the sound returns. After looking a bit in some previous threads, I thought it may be the amplifier. Just wanted to get some verifiable feedback before looking at that option. Im ready to install a sub box and amp to the factory head unit for the time being, but wanted to make sure everything else was good to go. Ideas???

There is a lot of things this could be, and unfortunately takes too much work to fix.

If it is a loose connection, you have to take off the whole door panel and remove the speaker. Check connections for each door speaker. Are the tweeters an issue also?

Replace the audio unit. My factory radio did the same thing and it was all internal. Most people think that these radios are Bose but they are actually Clarion units. Only the speakers and amp are Bose. Clarion is not the best in the world for sure.
