Blue Amp Connecter tricks

Is there tips to removing the Big Blue connector from the amp. Have the white one disconnected. The blue plug looks like it should unsnap. I however have tried and tried to disconnect it and have not been successful. Any tricks...places to pry. I am always hesitant to pry on the connections. Pliers on the clips.

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind...got out my handy dandy interior trim tools. Don't mind prying with plastic. Just don't like to use metal tools. Popped right out. Now if I just had an amp to plug in and try!

Well... an aftermarket amp fits there perfectly, no need to extend speaker signal wires at all. The only trick is running the power and ground wires.

JL XD600/6.
Takes differential-balanced signals so bose headunit isn't a problem.
Allows 4 channels input for 6 channels of output, just like the bose amp does, so you only need one amp for the stock components.
D-class, so heat won't be an issue at all.
JL is known for good quality (for a price).

The physical layout of the amp means you'll need to extend the factory speaker wires a few inches to reach, but that basically means just purchase two pair of twisted-pair RCA cables to cut in half to run from the headunit's outputs wires in the trunk to the amp's input jacks. Run power/ground and you're done.

Get the parts and come up to Savannah, I just did Tr0uble's coupe last weekend, so I already have the route to run the power wire figured out. With your drive you might want to buy a room for the night though.
