Avic 8000nex pioneer?

Has anyone installed the avic 8000nex yet? I'm currently looking to upgrade my stock HU and would like to know if this is worth it or not.

Also looking for a JDM DD.

I wouldn't spend the extra $700 over the 4000NEX for the built-in navigation and capacitive touchscreen. The capacitive touchscreen won't work with gloved hands, and isn't advertised as having the (gloved hand-capable) resistive touchscreen with the anti-reflective coating the 4000NEX has, so it might be harder to read at times.

$700 will more than buy you an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 or similar MirrorLink enabled smartphone to use with the 4000NEX. Enable the wifi hotspot on whatever phone you use and share it with the S3 you have wired to the 4000NEX, and you'll have "built-in" navigation without plugging in your phone which will give you better navigation for less than the 8000NEX.
