Some brief notes on a Basslink install in non-Bose sedan
Moved my old Basslink into the sedan over the weekend. Total time was about 3 hours, taking my time making everything nice and clean.
The following sticky was my best resource, and contained about 90% of what I needed to get the job done. I won't reiterate most of the install, as it is detailed quite well here:

Some additional notes:
1) Getting through the grommet to get past the firewall is a lot easier if you just pop the whole thing off with a flat head screw driver. There are some plastic reinforcements in the part, so getting it off makes it easier to tell where you should make your incision to pass your power wires through. It also makes it a lot easier to fish the wires. Image borrowed from the sticky:

2) If all you're doing is adding a sub in a non-Bose sedan, there is a great tap location for speaker wires in the right B-pillar (thanks, Wrathernaut). See photos below. The two wires are adjacent to each other on the corner of the connector. Wire colors:
- Rear right (+) = Orange
- Rear right (-) = Black/pink

You need to flip up this white plastic cover to get access to the connector.

Connector close-up. It the two wires on the top right in the photo.
There is ample room to secure a LOC in the B-pillar. I drilled and tapped a hole there and mounted mine with a single machine screw.
3) In a sedan, the recess on the right side of the trunk is perfect for the Basslink. It nests in there very nicely. I secured the sub by drilling and tapping 10-32 holes into the floor pan. Unfortunately I had to cut up my new WeatherTech trunk liner, but it came out looking pretty nice. I folded/rolled the edge of the carpeted mats and they tucked in nicely into the spare tire well.

4) There is a convenient wire for Remote turn-on in the trunk. If you have a satellite trunk connector (as is standard on all 05-06 I believe), there is a Teal wire on the corner of the connector that you can tap into. Goes to 12V when key is in the ACC position, independent if the radio is on or not. For me, this was more convenient than running a wire up to the cigarette lighter. Yes, I got lazy and used a T-tap for this one. If you don't feel like soldering, I'd recommend using Posi-Taps instead of these, as they are more secure and don't damage the insulation as much.

Cheers,
Tim
