Line Level Inputs

Line Level Inputs
I have been looking into adding a sub amp to my weak Bose system. I want to still use the Bose amp to power all of the factory speakers. I found a good product for doing line level conversion, the Soundgate LOC4.2. Soundgate recommends connecting it to the leads coming from the HU, before they reach the amp. This will allow the factory system to continue to work as-is and let me connect my sub amp via RCA jacks. I have an Audiobahn A8000T mono amp that already has line level inputs on it. My question is this...On amp line level inputs, do the input lines have to go straight into the amp (stopping there) or can they connect to the amp and continue on to speakers?(or Bose amp, in this case) The wiring diagram in the amp manual shows the speaker wires from the HU going into the amp and then using the amp outputs to go to the speakers. That's not what I want to do. I want all of the speakers to work as is and just "tap into" the signal in the speaker wires to drive the amp. Help!
