Custom Sub Box *Pics*
Custom Sub Box *Pics*
Hey guys I just wanted to post these pics of the subwoofer box that I built for my car. After going to Sound Advice to see how much it would cost they told me $750-$1,000, I realized that me and my friend can build on ourselves (he works at a custom audio store). It is solid fiberglass with a 3/4" MDF mounting ring for a 10 inch sub. The carpet on the box now was put to match the the carpeted trunk mat but can be done with the darker carpet as well. I will be putting a JL Audio 10W6v2 pushed by a JL 500/1 amp. I posted these pics to be if anyone we be interested in purchasing one of these boxes. They could be made for either side of the trunk (mine is for the driver side) and would cost $200. Let me know if anyone would be interested in these boxes as well as the equipment to go in them. I most likely can get a very good price through my friend. Just PM me with any interests.
These boxes are for the coupe model and can be made for either side. If you guys have any other questions just PM or e-mail me at xxaudinlxx@aol.com

I realized that you sedan guys might be interested in a box as well. I am in the process of working on building boxes for the sedan too. So if you sedan guys are interested in a box as well just PM with further questions.
Here are some updated pics with the sub installed in the box (changed the carpet) and the entire system complete. I ended up installing the Boston Acoustics SL 60 componenets, FX 67 6.5 coaxials, and the FX97 6" x 9"s. I have the JL 500.1 pushing the sub, the 300.2 running the components, and the JL 4300 running the coaxials. The system sounds awesome. So if anybody has interests in a box like this just send me a PM for details.
That box looks really nice! Please PM me with the details!
I have a question though, is there any way you can angle the sub diffrently? I'd imagine the car would sound good standing from the sides, but might be compromised say in the cabin or from the front/rear of the car the way the subs are being aimed.
