Can any one tell my why or how to get the amp out of protect mode? All of a sudden the amp just stop playing.. I didn't do anything to the amp, but I did try to troubleshoot it after it stopped playing.. I disconnected it and see if the amp would switch back to normal operating mode, but that didn't happen after I connected everything back up. I'm starting to feel that the amp might just be fired..

Oh by the way it's a class D JX 500/1 mono amp

 

Unless there is an electronics specialty store near by (not just a place that sells car stereos) you're going to need to send it to JL and have them troubleshoot it. You can ask the car stereo places if they know of any but don't take it in as a regular installer wouldn't know what to do.

 

JL Audio, wants 120 bucks.. the amp only cost me 169 from a store from amazon.. The place is in florida and they tell me 3 weeks to fix it whoa

 

i would jus connect the power and see if it turns on and off. if it doesnt and goes straight to protection mode then the amps dead

 

I got the amp back about a week ago.. They didn't repair it, they just gave me a "NEW". It looks new, but it might be a refurbish one. Anywho.. now my Alpine 10 inch sub has stopped working now... No sound is coming out of it.. I guess I will end up having to buy another one now. Any good ones on the market in to 0 to 150 range?

 

i like my infinity 10" sub. i got it cus its like my infiniti but its actually infinity.

 

Does it have a deep base sound to it? I might get one if I can get it for a decent price

 

i got mine from crutchfield. their site says out of stock expected stock 11/11. i got the dual coil one $99. i like it but we gon have different definitions of wat sounds good. all i can say is it works and sounds great. but it might not sound great to u lol ive had it for over 5 years no issues

 

i was thinking about the rockford fosgate P3D2-10 10" Punch P3 2-Ohm DVC Subwoofer, but I don't know if I want to pay 229.00

 

if u want the speaker for some reason its $100 cheaper at sonics.
