better to go with after market Nav/Dvd or stock nav?

I plan on adding a navigation system when i purchase my g35, but am unsure as to whether i will be adding it aftermarket or just purchasing it as an option. Is the infiniti nav system any good compared to the systems of Pioneer or Kenwood or whatever else is good on the market? Do i get a lot more for my money when purchasing the right aftermarket nav system/screen combination than with the stock? What are your guys' opinions? Thanks.

It all depends on what you want to do with it... Personally, I love the features that come with my OEM NAV. Like the e-brake reminder, the service reminders, MPG calculator, VDC warnings and the list goes on... If you're into playing movies and such, the OEM NAV screen can be made to display video from a DVD player. (stock DVD Navi won't play DVDs).

Going aftermarket will get you all sorts of great features that the OEM NAV wont be able to offer in stock form. But like I said, its depends on what you're looking for.

Anyway, I hope this helps a little and good luck with whatever you decide on. BTW, keep us posted.

i regret not getting the NAV popup screen is cool. there are after market popups though. i dont like the doubledin conversion w/ the single face big screen aftermarkets, made the console looks bland. i think it looks great only when its on at night.

for add'l $2K only, get it!
