What are the specs of my speakers? 2005 G35

Hey guys, so I was driving, bumping some music and I heard a rattle, knowing how this goes usually it means my speaker is about to go and sure enough it finally went today as the rattle increased dramatically. Possibly it being a bolt, yet almost sure knowing its most likely the speaker to go I was wondering, what are the sizes of the speakers in the right and left doors? I only have the 2 in the front for it being a coupe. Would anyone know? Thanks!

6.5 inch. A simple search in the audio section would have found this information for you.

I had the same problem except it was for the rear doors. Got new speakers waiting to be installed. Went ahead and bought all 4 to freshen up the system since a HU was installed recently.

It's highly unlikely that your new speakers will fit in the factory speaker mounts, you'll probably need some speaker spacers to mount them. They're easy enough to make if you'e got a router and some basic skills, or you can purchase some really good pre-made ones just for our cars from zenclosures.com - http://www.zenclosures.com/Speaker-Spacers-s/36.htm

You just need the mounting hole diameter of the new speakers to order.

Installed the speakers yesterday. I didn't think to take pictures while I had everything open. The speakers I ordered didn't fit the factory mounts. I wanted to keep the the factory mounts as well as the factory speaker housings. So I cut out the old speakers and supports. I then drilled out the female clip housing in order to feed the speaker wires through. After that I clamped the speaker onto the housing, predrilled the mount holes, and then used the screws shipped with the speakers and mounted them at 4 locations across from each other. The plastic is brittle so you'll need to take your time and drive the screws in by hand.

Everything bolted right back up to the factory locations, cut off the factory male clip and wired up the speakers. Everything sounds amazing. When I pulled the factory speakers, they were crumbling from dry glue and age.
