Back-up Camera Recommendation

I just purchased a Pioneer 4100NEX and I want to install a back-up camera. Does anyone here have any experience with back-up cameras that could make a good recommendation? Thanks.

Best place to get your back up camera is sonicelectronix.com. My back up camera also has parking sensors built into the tag bracket. I paid around 200 or less for it and love using it.

sonicelectronix.com doesn't seem to be any website. The 4100NEX has integrated adjustable parking guides...I just wanted to see if there is a difference in resolution and extras (night vision, color, operation in freezing temperatures).

I just left their website. They have the backup camera with parking sensors that I'm using for $119.99.

I typed the website in wrong. Thanks for the site. I just needed the camera, nothing extra. I see they sell them, I just have to do some digging to see if they provide what I'm looking for.

Were you ever able to get the sensors to work right? I know the bumper itself was sticking out further than the sensors and causing it to trigger all the time.

Thanks, I've tried my best to keep all mods stealth. Rear cam (can also mirror my phone display on stock nav) / MREV2. Honestly think I'm done modding. Love these cars though.

Looks just like the one I linked to. Pretty straightforward to install and provides a nice picture, even at night.

Sorry I went missing. I installed a Pioneer 4100nex using Wrathnaut's Double Din guide. I bought a camera off
amazon amazon
(See picture)
I don't know where to connect the hot red wire in the rear. I connected the red wire that comes off the yellow video input to the ACC power line on the pioneer harness. I have the reverse pioneer wire connected to the purple wire with silver dots in the drivers side kick panel.

I have not tested it, but does my set up sound right? And does the red hot wire coming off the camera box in the rear need to be connected to the reverse light power wire?

There is a hot (red wire) coming off the video input and a hot (red wire) and ground (black wire) that comes off the the little control box.

The reverse light power wire is a common connection point to power the camera itself. It has the advantage of being close to the camera and easy to identify, but has the disadvantage of not allowing you to view the reverse video feed when you're not in reverse. I'm not sure if the accessory wire from the radio will work, since it's a power signal wire, and may not have enough power to drive the camera.

If the camera doesn't power with your current configuration, just use the reverse light power wire to power your camera.

Would you happen to know which wire to tap on the coupe rear for the reverse light?
