I finally got the camera working along with the reverse light. My first recommendation, if it hasn't been stated, do not ever use those splice crimp thingies. Splice the wires normally by twisting the wires together and solder.

May I ask which wire you tapped into? Additional pics if possible, thanks. I could never get mine to work. Purple wire in the driver's side kick panel didn't exist and I've tried a couple wires at the reverse light without any success.

How did you get a camera and phone mirroring to work on the nav display. What did you use?

Dude, I'm so sorry I'm seeing this just now. I'll try and post some pics later this afternoon. I'm short, I ran the cameras red wire to the radios red wire and spliced it in at the radio. I ended up running the reverse light wire (from the HU) all the way back to the reverse light. It works, but I'm not sure I did it right as sometimes my reverse lights don't come on or when I go into reverse the music will cut off.

Woah that's weird haha. Well running off the purple wire isn't working for me and I've grounded off of the Bose amp mount. Not sure what the problem is. I'm going to try running off the amp signal wire. Is there any drawbacks to this? I originally went off the sub amp power but it drew energy all the time... No good!

The signal wire is not intended to provide the power needed to run anything - it's just for a on-off signal. It's possible it'll work, but a signal wire is never a good choice to power anything.

Just a matter of using a backup camera instead of a DVD player.
